Jacob Clayton

Jacob Clayton is a multidisciplinary artist making investigations into the expanded field of visual art as speculative fiction. His works bridge analogue photography and mixed-media sculpture practices, in a process of reducing and re-composing fragmentary realities. With a defining set of symbols and visual language, Clayton's work makes reference to an evolving philosophical web, forming links between Video-game physics, New-Wave science fiction literature, and avant-garde musical structures. Regarding the Artwork as a container/ vessel, outputs are the product of an open-ended world-building in which meditations on playfulness deny singular readings, and champion entropy as a creative force.
