Guttorm Glomsås (b. 1993, Fredrikstad Norway) is a visual artist based in Bergen. He holds an MFA from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and a BFA from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design. His practice spans sculpture, photography and installation, with a particular interest in materiality and in how physical structures, surfaces and processes of production shape perception. In his sculptural work, materials are approached not as neutral carriers, but as active elements with their own weight, resistance, history and social associations. His photographic work examines relationships between labour, landscape and ecological transformation. Glomsås has presented solo exhibitions at Nonneseter Kapell, Palmera, KRAFT and Galleri Toll. He also co-runs the exhibition space Nye Bokboden in Bergen.
