Georgia Grinter

Georgia Grinter was born in England in 1995. Her childhood was a district for new inventions, understanding processes around her, and finding a path to a solution visually. In 2015 she embarked on her Art Foundation at Falmouth University where her interests in observing processes developed and she realized her sensitivities to her environment and the chaos of emotion. It was later at the Glasgow School of Art that she began to explore material in a condensed and focused, manor using only biro and newsprint paper in her degree show in 2018 to observe the power of people’s energy when it is controlled by social tension. Georgia has since been evolving her practice, taking part in several group shows and residencies, spending a month at PADA residency in September 2019. She uses familiar shapes as boundaries from which to break apart and play with, to feel her way through work, with emotions that continually bubble at the surface of our human lifestyles. Using various changing materials such as oils, inks, and acrylics on canvas and paper.
