Since training as a sculptor, the role of art as a catalyst for sensorial experience has been integral to Dan Knight's practice. His work has involved playable sound sculptures, responsive inflatables, and paintings using shifting patterns and colours. The common recurring thread being the transformative power that interactive artwork holds.
For several years he has been painting images of a being who is both plant and person. Human body parts mix with leaves, flowers and stems, existing in a liminal dimension where the divides between human and plant blur, a space of contemplation, healing, and growth, reminding us of our interconnectedness and interdependence with nature.
